Andrea Ferrari lives in Milan, where he graduated in philosophy. He is a self-taught photographer and he  freely attended corse at Accademia di Brera in Milan. This backgroung let him to develop several strands in his visual research, throught a multidisciplinary approach.

In 2000, Andrea Ferrari met Ettore Sottsass, who asked him to create the images for his book - Lo Spechhio di Saffo - and thus launched Andrea's career as a freelance photographer. His first steps on this path led him to pursue a career as a design photographer, a period that lasted 15 years during which interiors and architecture were his focal areas. He then started working for key design publications such as Wallpaper*, The World of Interiors, Domus, Vogue Living, Case da Abitare, providing various photographic services and cover images.

Andrea's research explores both sides of design. Through his gaze, he documents and interprets works of architechture and contemporary design by leading figures, such a Pritzker Architecture Prize winner Mendes de Rocha, AntiiLovag, Peter Zumtor and Giuseppe Terragni, to name but a few. At the same time, his constant visual exploration of the object as the bearer of a sign leads him into the real of still-life photography, where a strong formal sense and composition are essential. His work was chosen by Hermes to interpre its home collection, which explores Jean Michel Frank's work.

After a career as a successful magazine photographer, over the past few years, Andrea Ferrari has primarily concentrated on three bodies of work, each of which has continued to develop over time: Wild Window (2007 - 2013) - The pictures included in this envelope ( 2012-13) - Untitled Paper ( 2010-2013).

The pictures included in this envelope is Andrea Ferrari's first major publication.

Previously shortlisted in 2013 for the European Publisher Award and later for the Kassel Dummy Award, the book is now being published by Kerher Verlag.
