CONCEPT

With Ondula, Garcia Cumini wanted to capture the magic of a fleeting moment: the gentle ripple of a drop touching water. A wave of light and shadow that spreads and dances, bringing movement to what is still.  In this visual vibration, a living surface takes shape – soft, fluid, and harmonious. A continuous form that moves gracefully, intertwining with our design values: a celebration of fluidity and a tribute to nature’s essence and archetypes.

Ondula is more than just a product; it’s an experience that visually caresses spaces dedicated to well-being and self-care. Just as water has always symbolised life and renewal, so does this object become a bridge between aesthetics and comfort, between what is visible and what is emotional.

In every curve, every reflection, lies an invitation to embrace serenity, to rediscover a delicate balance where light and matter come together to create a perfectly harmonious environment.
Ondula is poetry in motion, the serenity of light.

Materials

The fluid lines of Ondula are an original design by Garcia Cumini, created with high-performance polyurethane foam molds and counter-molds through a thermoforming process. During this process, the heated sheet becomes flexible and moldable, is pressed into the molds, and takes their shape. Finally, the cooling phase allows the fixation and stabilization of the obtained modeling.

Ondula is made of BETACRYL®, an innovative material primarily composed of aluminum hydroxide and acrylic resin.  The BETACRYL® range offers versatility and high performance for various applications. For the project  Ondula by Garcia Cumini the version Betacryl® Flex has been used, a material developed for applications requiring advanced thermoforming, allowing for complex shapes and innovative designs.
