19.12.17 - Personal Room

Personal Room n. 3

The third Personal Room event, organised with the help of Paolo Ferrarini, took place on 23rd November 2017 at 7.30 p.m in Cesar Flagship Store in Genoa.

“We know that at home the best conversations often take place in the kitchen. They are the most intimate moments, the important ones, when family histories are revealed but also when important decisions are taken. But today we are talking about design and we are not looking for a diarylike, intimate aspect, so we thought we’d invite people whose profession is indeed design to come and talk to us.”

The third Personal room event, organised with the help of Paolo Ferrarini, University lecturer and Italian correspondent for Cool Hunting magazine, took place on 23rd November 2017 at 7.30 p.m in Cesar Flagship Store in Genoa.

The protagonist of the third meeting was Caroline Corbetta, contemporary art curator, author and cultural journalist. Her cross-functional work comprises various disciplines and is particularly focused on blending art with fashion and design and on popularising art to the greatest possible degree while scouting new talents.

Although she continues to work with Italian art stars Maurizio Cattelan and Francesco Vezzoli, Caroline has always scouted young talents which lead her to organize the first international exhibitions of now famous artists such as Nathalie Djurberg and Ragnar Kjartansson. From 2012 to 2016 she conceived and directed “Il Crepaccio”, an original no-profit space installed in the shop window of a “trattoria” restaurant in Milan dedicated to emerging creative talents which has recently been launched again in a special project on Instagram.

Following the trend set at the previous meetings, each content presented by Personal Room will become the chapter of a story, an idea to keep and take back home with you.
